since 1996The Gutsmiedl family is considered a pioneer in bitter compound products. Inspired by a personal medical history, they developed the first bitter compound products based on the teachings of Hildegard von Bingen for the German market and founded BitterKraft! GmbH in 1996.
In 2020, Judith and Marian Wurm, passionate advocates of naturopathy, realized their dream and acquired BitterKraft! GmbH from the Gutsmiedl family as part of a succession arrangement. In 2026, Wanja Greuel joined the team as CEO and shareholder.
With a team of people passionate about nature, we continuously develop our products based on the principles of naturopathy—working together since 1996 with more than 4,000 healthcare professionals and over 350,000 customers.
We place great importance on quality and sustainability: Our products are made exclusively in Germany, we use only the finest organic raw materials, and we maintain long-standing partnerships with German family-owned manufacturers.

Since Judith and Marian Wurm took over in 2020, this tradition has continued with the same passion. Made in Germany from carefully selected, organically certified raw materials, our products combine traditional herbal knowledge with the highest quality standards. Since 1996, we have continuously refined our formulations together with more than 4,000 professional partners and over 350,000 customers.
